who has the time, i wonder. the one who's raring for the end-of-year exams, or the one who's banking 20 hrs a day, or the jaded city lawyer, or for that matter, the quintessentially struggling academic disgruntled with the world of grants, and fighting invisible anonymous referees? who has the time, rings the rhetorical question.
and especially when you live by selling your words, you must very well be prepared to eat them unless they are smart enough, sharp enough, and tight enough. else it's bland,and useless. pulp.
i have been thinking of writing popular science stuff for a while now, and i am looking for time. in the tiny cracks of time between being the artful dodger in the dubious world of grantsmanship and jargon-writing, i think of pieces that would make good - and possibly even useful press. i think of short pieces for the blog, which has long since been a neglected - but not abandoned, child.
but who has the time. i wonder.

Please write pop science in the interests of lesser mortals who surrendered théir science dreams to take up literature.
